Honorary Presidents

Le Cercle Ferdinand de Saussure, conscious of the importance of this anniversary and wanting to recognize the key role played by some scholars in the renewal of the saussurean studies relating to The Course in General Linguistics, from the 1950s onward, has chosen to show its gratitude by naming honorary presidents.

Professor Tullio De Mauro, who had accepted to give a talk in the Geneva Colloquium, died a few days before the beginning of this event. We have decided to keep this page open in memory of a great scholar who helped us put these commemorations together.
